Hi All, I'm a newbie here and i'm trying to integrate WWF into our site. We currently have about 250 members already signed up (just a simple data collection into an sql table)
I have username and password which were not encrypted. Any ideas on how I can import the current members with username and password into WWF tblAuthors table and encrypt the current password? All i can think of now is re-entering all the members manually using the registration form. I have a ton of addiontal field (which i was able to add to tblAuthors and on the registration form)

I really appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!

Scott

There are two choices:-

1. Use the Member Import Tool in the admin area of Web Wiz Forums

2. Use the Existing Member API to integrate Web Wiz Forums with your own web sites login/membership system. To enable this open in notepad the file functions/functions_member_API.asp and follow the intructions in that file

Thanks Bruce,

I was trying the API, but for me to integate everything correctly i would have to pull in all my current information. i was able to get my members imported along with the other fields i needed, but like the other person......it's not letting me login using their password.

I had the password stored as an unencrypted text field. any ideas? it just keeps saying username or password incorrect.
