when someone tries to become a member, error would appear

Error Error
Only members with sufficient permission can access this page.

A security error has occurred with authentication.

Please ensure that all cookies are enabled on your web browser, you are not using a saved or cached copy of the page, and your Firewall/Proxy settings are not hiding or masking your IP address.

it appears on my computer at work, in school, at home. in all browsers that i use, IE, firefox, and opera.

my friend experiences this too. please help.

Looking at your forum there is a long SID number of the end of URL's. This means that due to the setup of your web site it is unable to correctly set cookies.

This is common issue when web hosts don't give you a proper sub domain and just setup a virtual folder for the sub domain instead.

To fix the issue you will need to change the way cookies are set in the forum. Open in notepad the file includes/setup_options_inc.asp and uncomment the line below by removing the single quote mark ' from infront of the line:-

'strCookiePath = "/"
