I have setup a test user and marked them as needing post approval. Everything works as I expected EXCEPT that the non-approved post shows up on the "main forum" as the last message posted.

Is there a way to either suppress the "last post" appearing or only allow it to show up if it's actually approved by a moderator?

Hidden posts and topics that need approving will only display to admin, moderators, and those who posted the post or topic.

Bruce,

When I logon with another user, test3, the posts are hidden when I open the forum but it appears as the "Last Post" on the Forum Home Page.

See below. The messgae "TEST" posted by TEST2 on 05AUG08 has not been approved yet it shows up on this main page. If someone made the subject offensive or inflammatory it would be dislayed to everyone until someone posted a newer msg or a moderator removed the post.

I've just done some testing and it looks like this issue is fixed for version 10, but not in the present version 9.50

I just upgraded from WWF8 to WWF9.5, and I can't seem to find the "hidden posts" button.  How do my moderators pull up all of the pending hidden posts?

Thanks!

It's in the moderator tools drop down found on most pages and is called 'Moderated Topics'

By the way the issue mentioned at the beginning of this topic is fixed for the next release, version 9.51, due out hopefully before the end of next week once testing is complete.

9.51 also now includes email notifications for admins and moderators of posts that need to be approved as long as they have subscribed to the forum or topic.
