Had one of my forum members make a good suggestion. He suggested making a script that would check a user for new PMs say every 30 seconds or so without having to do a refresh of the entire page. I really like the idea but I lack the Java script knowledge to pull it off. I've seen this done along time ago on some gaming site. Everytime you had a new PM the link to your PM inbox would change the picture displayed. Anyone up for making this mod? (Please move this to the mod section as I couldn't post it there.) |

To be able to make this you would have to make the page refresh ever 30 secs, and when reading a long post that would become very very old. It already checks for new PM's every time a page is refreshed... so theres really no need for this mod. And if you wanted to know within seconds of getting a PM turn on "Notify me by email when I receive a Private Message" in your profile. ------------- http://www.iportalx.net" rel="nofollow">
