I keep getting this error after I upload all my files and point my browser to my addy:

Directory Listing Denied

This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.

I am using a paid service now from brinkster originally I had the forum configured to be used on the free brinkster. Should I change my common files??

you need a default file. It would be like default.asp, index.asp, default.html, or index.html

You need to contact your host and talk to them. This is a forum support forum, not your hosting support forum.

Please post in the right forum next time.

Bloody hell maddog. This moderating power you have seems to have gone to your head.  If you can't help then relax.

He is having a problem related to his WWF and has therefore posted in the correct forum.

Defcon, now the error stated can indicate that the script you are running is trying to view/access the contents of a directory, for which you don't have permissions to do.  There are also a number of other causes.

Borg has also mentioned that Brinkster paid accounts may not be compatible with WWF, which is probably the link that maddog posted.

Perhaps post some more details of the page you're trying to run, how you've set up your account, directory names at Brinkster etc.

Might also pay to search the help at Brinkster for any database or permissions related issues.

Good luck!

Cheers,
Andrew

I have had a few people mention to me about the Brinkster paid accounts and it seems that the forum is not compatible with Brinkster free accounts.

It will work on almost any other win2k and win 2003 server apart from Brinksters paid accounts it seems. Your only option would be to change web host or look for a different forum package that would be compatible with Brinksters paid accounts.
