I'm using 9.5 and when I post to any thread I can't then afterwards see any of the forums on the homepage.  Instead I see an error that says "Error: Only one top level element is allowed in an XML document." above the news bulletins and below the forum cats.

You can view this at http://www.sierrasnowboard.com if you need to reproduce it.

I can see that this page is what causes the error http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/forum/ajax_newspad_feed.asp  But, as I said it doesn't show any forums above that either.

also noticed that if I then logout I can see the forums, but if I log back in I cannot again.  If I login with a different account I can see the forums until I post with that account.

the news pad xml error is not related to the missing forums error.

I think this started happening since I upgraded from 9.08 to 9.5

The forums not displaying when logged in sound like a permissions issue. Check the permissions in the admin area under group permissions and resubmitting that page will also reset the permissions often clearing up this issue.

The XML error issue sounds like you have posted something on NewsPad which doesn't agree with XML. Copy and pasting from Word often courses these types of issues as it uses dodgy proprietary code in the background which XML really doesn't like.
