You would need to edit the file register.asp and change line 1129:-

 if (document.frmRegister.signature.value.length > 200){

You may also need to increase the filed sizes in the database if you increase the length of a signature.

-borg-,

I checked my v7.01 database and the signature field was set to Memo (65,535 characters). Is there any other field or table that would affect the signature? Also, for hacking purposes what would you recommend as the max for a signature line (if over 200)?

Thank you for answering my question Borg..
I have changed the register.asp to max 80 chars. However a couple of problems:

1) If one clicks "Show signature" (on the register page) it still show max 200 characters (did a char count). I am afraid this will confuse a user.

2) When a new user however writes 199 chars, push the send button, an error message will popup, saying one wrote 199 chars, whilst max char is on 200. Of course, if the user only writes 80 chars there is no problem. But I believe this message error also will confuse.

(199 is just a number I picked that was between 80 and 200 for testing purpose only).

Will I and the users have to live with this, or is there a solution to 1 and 2?

Rgd,

You will have to look throuh the files for where 200 is stored, it could be in the register page or in the text held in the language file.
