My web-server uses a proxy server, so it fails the test to connect to the authentication server for the premium edition. I have contacted the admin, and they gave me the code to put into a web.config file to connect to the database, but to my knowledge, that is for asp.net, not asp. How would I go about setting up the forum package to connect through this proxy server with these settings, or make asp read a web.config file to load those settings?

web.config is for ASP.NET and will not work with ASP.NET.

ASP can not use a proxy servers, many weeks were spent looking into this and there is no workaround. Unfortunately this means that you would not be able to run Web Wiz Forums with your present host.
