In version 7.X you could change the default avatar size. I don't see a way to do it in version 8.X.

Am I missing something?

This is done through the CSS skin file

OK, I have found the file default_style.css in the css_styles folder. The only code I could find that looked like it dealt with avatar size is:

.avatar, #avatar{
    width: 64px;
    height: 64px;
    border: 1px solid #000000;
    margin: 2px;

which I have changed to:

 .avatar, #avatar{
    width: 140px;
    height: 140px;
    border: 1px solid #000000;
    margin: 2px;

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work. Can anyone give me a little guidance here?

Never mind. A browser refresh fixed it. Changing the code above worked fine.
