Hi everybody,
I'm trying to get help about a problem with RTE running on my machine.
I've installed the RTE following exactly the instructions provided. What I've changed is only the settings about wich buttons are to be shown in the toolbar.
Now the point is that I'm runnig the test on my machine where I've IIS. No problem at all with firefox, chrome and opera. But IE 7.0 doesn't show me the toolbar and report some errors when page is loaded and I only see a simple text area. This happens only in local, because writing this post I'm just using it and it works fine. Why IE does error only when visualizing the RTE on my local machine?
Please I'm going crazy, can anybody help me? Thanks

Sorry I forgot to add that I'm not able to edit the text content saved into the database. When the edit page is loaded everything is fine in showing the title but nothing is shown into the text area. How can I do? It's an option I can't work without because of the nature of the website I'm writing. Hope to get somebody's help soon. Thanks

Some browsers can be funny if other form tags or elements on the page have the same ID or names.

Below are some of the reserved words that can not be used for elements names within the web page, but there maybe others:-

action
•    submit
•    reset
•    WebWizRTE
•    Pre
•    toolbar
•    ToolBar1
•    ToolBar2
•    command
•    colourPalette
•    formatFont
•    fontSelect
•    textSize

Make sure you follow the intsalltion intructions very carefully.

You need to ensure that your form has ID tags as well as name tags
