You need to be using the myODBC 3.51.23 driver or below to prevent this error with newspad 1.x

This is the myODBC database driver which is installed on the web server by the server admin.

The driver installed on the server is  ODBC mysql driver 3.51.04.00

Do you have any other suggestions?

It is compatible with myODBC 3.51.11 through to 3.51.23.

For the best stability the SQL Server version is best.

The mySQL version tends to break each time a new myODBC driver is released.

Unfortunately you can not change to mySQL as it uses a different schema as the SQL Server and Access versions use a relational database schema. mySQL is not a relation database management system and so has to have a different database schema.

mySQL is used more in the PHP Linux environment were it runs best. However, due to it's popularity as it is free there are mySQL versions available of our software but they are not as stable as using Microsoft technologies throughout such as Windows IIS with ASP and SQL Server.

Web Wiz Forums though has been updated recently to work with the latest myODBC 3.51 driver and the newer myODBC 5.1 driver. NewsPad will need to be updated again to work with these newer myODBC drivers.
