Hi Bruce, I know a lot of the features intended for version 10 have crept into the incremental releases recently but I was wondering what the status of v10 is? We haven't had a blog entry for that for around 6 months.

I'm personally interested in the post rating system and blogs and know that the release is slated for this year but there's no estimate (even month would be something!).

Software development is a very long process and you never know what issues you are going to come across. Version 10 would have been completed months ago if it was not for the blogging tools. The blogging features are a massive development project with allot of work to do and many 1,000's of lines of code to write.

The adding comments to blogs was completed last week, but still have to write the code to edit blog entries and comments. Also there are blog search tools to add, how to handle blog and comment approval system, email notification, and many other features which are still under development.

Hopefully a beta version would be released this year.

Unfortunately we are heading for an economic depression and software sales are being hit very hard, which is also not helping things.

Thanks for the update Bruce, I'm not pushing this but rather was interested to know if we were still on schedule. I understand that timescales slip and certainly know what you mean about the credit crunch impact on sales...

there is one change i would like to see.  that is move the "quote", "reply", and "post options" buttons to the bottom of the post instead of the top of the post.  it eliminates having to scroll back up to click them.  especially the "quote".
