This issue started to happen after applying the 9.53 update. I checked in the admin area to ensure that the Guest group has no posting right in any section, however they can still see the Text editor together with the CAPTCHA verification field... but after entering the name/message/ and approperiate captcha code and clicking to post the message, it does NOT get posted. So in other words, they can see the text editor when they're not supposed to, and luckily if they want to post a message it does not get posted.

Sounds like a permissions issue or a corrupted file.

Make sure that you have not added any individual permissions to the Guest member account as well as the Guest Group.

Have checked this in around 5 running Web Wiz Forums 9.53 installations and this is not replicated in any of them.

Check the permissions and try reuploading the files again as nothing has changed in 9.53 in regards to how Guests post.

Got it. It was a corrupted file issue... I should have checked that prior to starting this topic. Thanks for the help.
