Sorry the Guestbook stopped development many years ago as it never proved to be popular.

There is a new version of CAPTCHA out which creates the images on the fly instead of using a library, you could have a go at integrating that into your current Guestbook.

Apart from actually checking the guestbook every so often, there probably is not a solution to a product no longer available. I guess as with most websites, yours like ours suffers from spam and unwanted attention, but that is the price to pay for having a popluar website I guess Wink

I dont tend to use the guestbook now but when I did, I used to check it regularly, then just delete the offending post and remark with something like:

"Deleted again you loser"

It may not have been politically correct but it seemed to have an impact somewhere LOL

I notice you are still using version 8.03 - have you not considered upgrading to the latest and more secure forum software? Its far surperior and will help cut down on spam and unwanted visitors comments too

If you run an upgrade from version 8 to 9.53 you need to run the forum upgrade tools to update the database to work with version 9.53

Always backup first though

ok, try to run the Updating the admin tools .. in a forum that resides in another hosting, only for testing, so the first try, because IIS does not work.
