This is 1&1 isn't it? It would appear that you are running the forums in a sub-domain but it has been a while since I had these hosts

I'm looking after the forums while Alex (the Boss) is on his final year in Uni'. Is this something I have to try and get hold of him to look at ?
The forum is part of a site on guinea pigs. We had a problems with disappearing posts just a couple of weeks ago.

1st off - Try to encourage the site owner to upgrade to MSSQL (or even MySQL) as Access isn't really the best Web database. (do a search on here and you'll find out why)

2nd - It seems to be a problem with the database - If you have FTP Access try downloading the database and doing a Compact and Repair

and 3rd - Move the database outside of the Root (where its not accessible on the web)

Managed to get in touch with Alex, he is on holiday for another couple of weeks. He will try and sort the forum when he gets back.

Thank you for your helpful posts.
