I have just taken an upgrade to the latest v9 software from the previous v9 and now show the following error when performing a search.

If no results are shown, there is a link "Click here to amend your search".

The error appears in the right where you would normally expect to see the additional search options.

Microsoft VBScript runtime error 800a01f4 - variable is undefined 'strTxtFindMember' forum/search_form.asp line 217

Can anyone help with this? It is currently running on Access (was before too with no problems)

The error means that you do not have the new text in the language_files/ language_file.asp file.

You need to either update your language files or if it is translated append the new text to the end of your translated language file.

Sorry Bruce, how do you mean exactly? All language files were updated with the upgrade but have not been modified and are originals.

I've just taken a look at the directory, and language_file.asp does not appear to exist - but I cannot find it in the unzipped WW files either...

Sorry the file name is language_file_inc.asp.

Usually you get this error if someone is running translated language files that are not for the version of the forum they are running.

Make sure you are running the latest language files, you may have a corrupted file so try reuploading the files in the language_files directory again.

Thanks Bruce - have re-uploaded and it must have simply been a corrupt file, working fine now, thanks again.
