I am using W2K Pro and I have setup IIS. I first had an error of updateable query and that was repaired as I gave full control to users Adminstrator,Internet Guest Account, other user besides Administrator. The next error was that the page was not loading and it was just hanging there forever. I removed all files and database connections and added them back one by one. I found that the include file which has my text hit counter using the filesystemobject is causing all pages not to load. I am using the NTFS system. What other permission do I need to set? Has anyone had this error before?

Anti virus programs wreck havoc when it comes to FileSystemObject... so make sure you dont have any turned on and try it out

I am using Free ZoneAlarm. Is there a workaround where I can still leave the firewall on?

well, to start..

did you try:

- Turn off ZE
- Try script

to determine if it is indeed the script?

If it is, i'd hit sites like http://www.dslreports.com - http://www.dslreports.com to see what can be done to "allow" it

If your using norton antivirus turn off script blocking thats what I had to do to enable it on my server... (script blocking causes the FileSystemObject to hang)
