Hi I am trying to change the thank you message that a member receives to activates his/her account.
It currently reads. "Hi username
Thank-you for taking the time to register to use the forum Go
State Cowboys Sport Forums."
Then it gives the login info and link to activate the account.
I would like to change this to
"Dear username,
Thank you for registering with WebCity Forums! We are glad you
have chosen to be a part of our community and we hope you enjoy your
stay.
All the best, WebCity Forums

I'm on an older version of WWF.. But hopefully this will be relative and help, as I made a similar change.
Have a look in the following file:
forum\language_files\language_file_inc.asp
And then look for the entries below:
=======================
Const strTxtEmailThankYouForRegistering = "Thank-you for taking the time to register to use "
Const strTxtEmailYouCanNowUseTheForumAt = "Your login details can be found below and now you have registered for a new account you can post new messages and reply to existing ones on the"
Const strTxtEmailForumAt = "Forum at"
Const strTxtEmailToThe = "to "
=======================
You'll need to edit those lines with the text you want to change. It's a simple process.
Like I said, apologies if Bruce has changed the location of the files or indeed anything.. I'm only basing this on my Version 8xx install.
Goog luck and take care,
Shaun

I made the changes and it now reads
Thank you for registering with My forum name! We are glad you have
chosen to be a part of our community and we hope you enjoy your stay forum name.
the text above in red is not part of my statement. Where is the code to either to remove this or to put add a <br> in front of it.
