Subject: Member Administration doesn't display
Date Posted: 20 February 2009 at 5:03am
I have been using the free edition to demo the product, it seems for some reason I cannot see the Member Administration area when signed in as the Administrator.
The below message is displayed in IE:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.
All other areas show as expected.
Thank you in advance!

You need to turn off friendly HTTP error messages in IE so you get a detailed error message of what the problem actually is.
However the most common course of errors is corrupted files during the FTP upload process, so try reuploading the original files again.

Well I hate to mention the obvious, but it looks like the file is missing from your server, and hence the messages

Is this a 500 internal server error or a 404 page not found error?
If it is a 500 internal server error and you can not get the error to display in IE try using Firefox, if that doesn't work contact your web host as they may have disabled detailed error messages on the server which will make it very difficult to workout what the problem is.

I saw this on a different PC...
ICAP communication error while talking to an ICAP server, and
bypassing on this error is not enabled. |

I believe that ICAP is something to do with a proxy server and not related to the web server or the issue you have.
If you could go back to my last post to you and go through that as to what type of error you have, trying Firefox, and making sure detailed error messages are enabled in IIS.

How would I go about enuring detailed error message ins IIS.
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.
What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems
More information
This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
Internet connectivity has been lost.
The website is temporarily unavailable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.
For offline users
You can still view subscribed feeds and some recently viewed webpages.
To view subscribed feeds
Click the Favorites Center button , click Feeds, and then click the feed you want to view.
To view recently visited webpages (might not work on all pages)
Click Tools , and then click Work Offline.
Click the Favorites Center button , click History, and then click the page you want to view.
-----------------------------
I do assure you that all files have been copied, as I have done a recopy 5 times now. No avail...

Thanks for the help, unforunately i already had that option disabled so I should be seeing a detailed message but I am still seeing that same as I previously posted... I don't have access to the server the forum resides so I cannot edit the IIS settings.
I also tried Firefox, this didn't reveal any other issues... when clicking on Members Admin the browser doesn't navigate to the page, it does nothing but remain in default admin view.
Anyone else have any ideas?

With out more details or an error message it will be almost impossible to tell you what the issue maybe.
The only thing I can suggest is having a look at a hosted solution of Web Wiz Forums, where the software is installed for you on our own servers:-
