The memberlist does not appear unless you are logged in, or a registered user
If you need to remove it though you will need to edit some coding

You would need to edit the file includes/status_bar_inc.asp and remove the link to the members.asp file. You would also need to delete the file members.asp as well.

Will look at adding an option to version 10 so that only admins and moderators can look at the members list if you want to have it hidden from normal members.

Thanks webwiz-bruce,

May I make another suggestion - in v10 perhaps also have the ability to hide the "Whats going on - Forum Statistics" block at the bottom of the page..

We dont particularly want our subscribers to know how many forum members there are etc..   It should at least be optional.

thanks again!

That has been added to the 'todo' list as it is something which a number of other people have also requested from time to time.

I too have been looking at how to remove/hide the Forum Statistics, it sounds like V10 might have a few things I'm keen on (I'd love image resizing on upload as well!)

Bruce - is it possible for you to please point me to the correct file/s to edit to remove the Stats? I've been browing through the codebase and haven't been able to find it yet. (alternatively I wouldn't mind having it visible for registered users but not guests)

I'm a recent convert to WebWiz and have to say I'm loving it. (both the software and the hosting services are great) I haven't written any asp code for almost a decade and wish something like this had existed "back in the day" Geek It makes it all too easy - Thanks!

It should be easy to remove, just edit the code near the bottom of the default.asp page.

If you only want it visible to registered members place the stats table in the following:-

If intGroupID <> 2 Then

      Stats table here

End If

Thank you Bruce,

I've allready added it to my forum at http://LureLovers.com/Forum

I am extremely embarassed that I didn't find that in the source myself - Default.asp was of course the first file I looked at although I was lazy and was searching for the string "The Newest Forum Member is" which I was never going to find - How embarassing! Embarrassed
