I have several members contacting me with errors related to editing post. here are a few of their comments.

"I cannot edit posts - keeps shutting down IE and i have to restart."

"Tried to edit a post and got an error message forcing me to shut down my browser. I tried repeatedly afterward with the same result. I thought it was something related to our firewall at work, but evidently not. "

"I am having this problem whenever I try to edit or move a post on any Windows / I.E. machine I try it on. I get the "Internet Explorer is experiencing a problem and will have to shut down" error message, which then shuts down my connection to the forum when I click "o.k." I don't have the same problem when using my Mac + Firefox machine at home."

Any ideas on what I can do to help them out?

This can happen but very rarely if IE is corrupted on the users system when it tries to intilise the WYSWIYG Post Editor. It tends to happen more with older IE 5 and 6.

Try asking your users to update IE to the latest release, if that doesn't work or they don't want to then they can turn off the WYSWIYG Post Editor by editing their forum profile.
