I have a 9.56a forum up and running perfectly, except users and my self gets randomly logged off with this message :
Error Only members with sufficient permission can access this page. |
No matter what we are doing. No matter which browser and which Windows we use. No matter how many times I've installed it. No proxy or privacy programs are used. Cookies and scripts are allowed. Besides that, its working perfectly. This is the only thing that prevents me from buying it.
What can be the problem ???

It sounds like cookies are not working for your forum.
When you look at the address bar when you move around your forum do you have SID= followed by a big long alpha-numerical code?

It sounds like then the server is dropping the ASP session.
This can happen if the servers application pool for your website is recycling to often and is something you would need to contact your web hosting company about.

We have a similar issue happening randomly around viewing PM's, uploading images etc. Are you able to post a little more information around recommended IIS application pool setting please?
Thanks Craig

If you do a search there are dozens of posts about this as this question is answered at least once a month for 10 years!

Bruce - I did that before posting but I couldn't find a post that runs through checking the set up of the application pools as you indicate above. If you know a search term that works please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
