Hi

I've just installed webwiz forums to test the app.
It works very well, but i have one small error.

When i click the browser back button to the home page i get the following error

Server Error in Forum Application
An error initialising Global Variables from database.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_getForumConfigurationData()_read_global_variables
File Name:- global_variables_inc.asp

Error details:-
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Invalid object name 'tblConfiguration'.

It doesn't occur on anyother page or if i click a link to the homepage, just when i click the back button.

Does anyone know why this might be? And how can i fix it?
I've used webwiz forum before and never had this problem.

Thanks

Try redownloading the forum software and reuploading it to your server - see if that fixes the error

This sounds more like a browser cache issue as the first time you probably went to the page was before you created the database hence the error.

When you click the back button your browser is getting the page from cache instead of loading a fresh page.

Try doing a hard refresh (CTRL -> F5) and see if the clears the issue.

That's sorted it.

Thanks Bruce.

Great forum by the way. It's great to work with.

Cheers

I have the same problem. Isn't the cache.
How can I solve this?

It sounds like then you have a very different error to that above and you should start a new topic giving as much detail as possible about the problem you have.
