Right, I had some problems with this so I thought I would quickly stick a how to on here to save others some time...

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Mail, contac.....
  3. Add account
  4. Other
  5. Add mail account
  6. Fill out the details
  7. Select IMAP
  8. Host Name : mail.webwiz.net
  9. Username is your email address
  10. Smtp is mail.webwiz.net
  11. Must fill in username and password on smtp
  12. Click Save
  13. It will now try to verify your IMAP account, but it doesn't work. You will get a message about using SSL, click No.
  14. Now go back to Settings and select your newly created account
  15. Go Advanced
  16. Make sure SSL is off on both the incoming and the outgoing
  17. I think you can leave the port setting at 143 (bruce?)
And there you are, it should now work.

Thanks for your step by step guide balearicjobs.

Yes I can confirm the default port for IMAP is 143.

No worries Bruce

Just another quick thing, IMAP (nor POP) does not support Push email (correct me if I'm wrong), so you may want to check your "Fetch" settings which are also under Settings > Mail, contac..... and then directly under the accounts.

You can set the Iphone to "Fetch" every 15, 30 or 60 minutes or just leave it on Manual.  In that section under Advanced you can also turn Fetch on or off for individual accounts. Using Fetch reduces your battery life.

Just to add to this you can also sync your IPhone Contacts with the webmail service using the IPhone free Funambol IPhone Sync App from the link below:-
