I looked myself up in the memberlist in v9.6 (and v9.56a)

memberlist entry for http://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=29932" rel="nofollow - keithbromley

and this is what I found.

Real Name: Keith Bromley
Gender: Not Given
Date of Birth: 27 July 1965
Age: 44

44!?  I would like to point out that I'm only 43 until 27th July!

Yeah, I know, hardly a big issue, but some of us are sensitive about age!   ;-)

Best regards
Keith

It may be showing you at 44 here Keith but on our version 9.60 you are a young 43 Wink
I mean that I use version 9.60 and it correctly shows my age

Don't forget Web Wiz forums use a alpha model but 9.60 is good to go Thumbs Up as far as ages are concerned

There is a problem with the Age when your birthday is a couple of days away, as I posted the same thing about a year ago or so when I noticed it said I was older.

Definately a problem. Its my birthday on Friday (address attached!) and WWF thinks I am 1 year older already. Premature...just like how it all started !

Yep - It's a problem in both 10Alpha and 9.60

member_profile.asp contains

  'Calculate the age (use months / 12 as counting years is not accurate) (use FIX to get the whole number)
  intAge = Fix(DateDiff("m", dtmDateOfBirth, now())/12)

...so I guess it's accurate to within 1 month...
I should have looked there first!

Here's a function that will return the years accurately to the date.

     Function GetYear (dteDate)
          dim yearTemp, dteTemp

               yearTemp = DateDiff("yyyy",dteDate,Date())
               dteTemp = Cdate(Month(dteDate)&"/" & Day(dteDate) & "/" & Year(Date))
               if dteTemp > Date() then
                    yearTemp = yearTemp - 1
               end if
               GetYear = yearTemp
     End Function

If you add the function above to
functions/functions_common.asp
and replace

intAge = Fix(DateDiff("m", dtmDateOfBirth, now())/12)

with

intAge = GetYear(dtmDateOfBirth)

then it will be completely accurate.
