... but it did yesterday. I saw anothert post indicating a fix - reinstallation. I use SQL and am at a loss for an explanation. I would consider reinstalling once but what is to assure me that in another 24 hours I won't be in the same situation, needing to "reinstall" my entire app just to administer it? if you can access your db, resetting the admin account makes the most sense. Create a dummie account, make a simple password for it, go into the db, table tblAuthor, locate that dummie account, copy the SALT and PASSWORD to Admin's SALT and PASSWORD, respectively. Then, go to the forum, log in Administrator/[thatdummiepassword]. done.

i had the exact same problem. solved it the way you described it. strangely i dont think i was hacked. all the forum was ok. if someone hacked it I expected to see some weird messages!
