Lately I’ve been doing some experimenting with XML/RSS. I’ve managed to not only get my own blog XML syndicated, but I just now finished creating a live RSS feed of my Forum (WWF 6.x).

Has anyone else experimented with XML syndication of their WWF?

I would like to hear your thoughts on it.

The 2 RSS feeds I create are here:
(One feed is the latest posts, the other the top 10 hot topics.)
http://www.itlnet.net/users/K2L/Forum/
http://www.itlnet.net/users/K2L/Forum/XML/NEW/
http://www.itlnet.net/users/K2L/Forum/XML/HOT/

I've also added this same code to another forum I helped work on
http://www.coacheaid.com/Forum/
http://www.coachesaid.com/Forum/XML/NEW/
http://www.coachesaid.com/Forum/XML/HOT/

The RSS 2.0 specs are at
http://backend.userland.com/rss

Thanks
Kevin.

I redsigned my site at the begining of the year and didn't move that section back.    Sorry.
Here is an example of what I did, back in 2003

has either of you dont a version for the blog ? i am writting an auction site well its a spin of from http://www.fragXchange.com - http://www.fragXchange.com Which I did some time ago and have come back to update im about halfway through but code wise its looking ok (design is naff) will put together a nicer design when im done playing with the code. Anyway the point is I want to have an rss feed for as much as possible as some recent delving into SEO showed blogs with RSS do rather well in google.

I haven't but it would just be a matter of changing the SQL statement and some of the variables. I've not actually used the WWG blog since I just use the forum to blog.

If you can't get it figured out, post here and I'm sure someone can figure it out.

I already have the same code (modifed) for my own blog:
http://www.programwitch.com/XML/

It uses RSS 2.0 (no enclosures, yet)    I also use a service called FeedBurner to mirror my feeds.  Helps save a bandwidth, tracking, add items too feed like Flickr, del.icio.us etc.  (www.feedburner.com)
