Has anyone ever developed a feed aggregator?

For example, to allow news from another website to be automatically posted on a WWF forum?

Ie, website A blogs a new piece of news. The feed aggregator (scheduled task or called manually), auto posts a snippet of this in a particular forum, with a link to the full story.
