I was told this new version has the ability to make replies to someone else's post, indent so that you could see the second person is replying to the previous person's posting.
Is this not true?
Is there a hack to do so?

Not really sure what you mean, if you need to quote a previous persons post then you can use the quote feature.

No. Thats not what I mean.
I will find an example, but what I mean is this:.

Say the forum is "Motorcycles", someone creats a mpost about red motorcycles, someone resposnd to that person's post, not to the forum, but to that person's post, and I don't want quoting.. just an indent. Example below.

Motorcycles

Post1: (from George) I like red motorcycles
Red motorcycles are the best.
Reply: (from Tom) RE: I like red motorcycles
George, you can't be serious, only blue motorcycles are any good.

Post2: (from Bill) I hate fancy motorcycles
Don't get fancy motorcycles. They are lame.

You mean the old style threaded forum style that was common in the 90's.

Sorry no there is not a threaded view.

Yes, they mean threaded view, where if I responded to HIS post, my reply would show below his, indented, and not below Bruce's post.......
Keeps things straight and short - posts show up in relationship to who you are responding to.
A lot of forums are going back to that now - for example, Symantec's "Connect" support forum - users begged for it, so they added it.
Otherwise, say I reply to a post 2 pages back, folks don't go back and see what it was about. Yes, there's quoting, but then the page is much longer as things keep getting quoted, adding to the "clutter" or duplication.
There's pros and cons to each.............. I can see both sides, both needs.

Bruce,

I am a strong classic ASP developer.. any licensing concerns, or worries about me coding it to do that?
