My webhost is strict on permissions I can set, can a Web Wiz support convert my current mdb to the new format. I could email it over. It is small (under 10k) but I do not want to loose the post in it. Could anyone help please? Thanks. P.s We have a Premium reg code. Thanks.

Could you try that again, as it makes no sense that you need to convert mdb to another format due to permissions.
An mdb files is an Access file, to use MS Access you need to have write, write, and modify permissions but that has nothing to do with any format.
So what you might be asking is that your host doesn't support Access and you need anther format, but what format?

No sorry. Let me explain. The new version of Web Wiz (the setup portion) wants to access my current mdb to modify it. I take it, it wants to add / change some fields in it. At least that was my understanding when I went to install it. Is that incorrect?

No that is not correct. But you do need to have read, write, and modify permissions on the forum/database folder. These are the same permissions as you need for the forum/uploads folder to be able to allow your users to upload files and images.
This is required as the wizard use the File System Object to write to the database_settings.asp file found in the 'database' folder with the database settings including database type, connection string, database driver, server side database paging, and a few other settings.

Yes I have write permissions, well the scripts does obviously because I have been using web wiz for years now. I'll look at the install process again. Appreciate all the help. Will let you know how it goes.
