Hello!
First of all thanks for this amazing asp forum software, i had to try out about 5 of them before settling for this one which is perfect Big smile

Anyway, i have set up a new forum for my guild to use and on our old software (phpBB3) our old forum admin had setup a code to allow links to automatically be recognized as an item or such from Wowhead.com.

Now, i searched a bit and found the code needed for both of these;

http://www.wowhead.com/?powered
and
http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=87229.0

I am wondering, how can i add these to my forum to make them work properly?
They have plenty of step-by-step guides but not for Web Wiz, any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

EDIT
One more thing, some people have reported they have issues with the forum in IE, one had problems registering on the forum and got some kind of error that said he did not have enough permission to register, whats up with that?

The link code that you mention appears to be javascript added to the head of your web pages. To add this code to Web Wiz Forums edit in notepad the file includes/header.asp. This will then add the code to all the pages in your forum.

There should not be any issue registering with IE. A permissions error can happen if the user doesn't have cookies enabled in their browser, or if the server has recycled and dropped the user sessions.

Ask your user to try registering again, but making sure they have cookies enabled in their browser so that their browser can keep their forum session open.

Thanks for the help!

If i have problems with the forum logging me out in both opera and firefox, in the normal forum and admin controlpanel has that also something to do with cookies?

If it is an issue with cookies then you will see a tracking code in the URL which is a big long 32 bit string after SID= in the address bar.

If you are getting randomly logged out then it points to problems with the server not holding ASP sessions correctly. This can happen if the application pool for your website is set to recycle to often or it is set to use multiple worker processes (web farm). You should contact your web host about this.

Thanks for the help Bruce, i got a question about unread topics, if i got a bunch of them, look into one of them and go back to the index page of the forum, all the other unread topics have been cleared so i have to search for them myself, is there any way to turn that off or do i have to use "New Posts" or such?

If the unread post information is being dropped in this way then it points to problems with the server not holding the ASP session or the application pool for the website recycling.

If you use a web host contact them regarding the issue of ASP sessions being dropped.
