Each mod is installed differently, if instructions don't come with the mod then contact the author of the mod in question and ask them.

Emoticons in the left of the post screen is a part of version 7.0 and above, so you may need to upgarde your forum.

a Mod is a MODification of the program (forum), the program is writen in ASP (Visual basic) and some parts are javascript. All source code is included.

There are two kinds of mods,

some of them are a complear replacement of a file.

for the others you have to edit the file

with file and what line / code is given in the mod. for the editor you can use eg. notepad or HTML Kit (for Free) ( http://www.webwiz.net/directory/directory.asp?cat=software&PagePosition=1 - found here )

A little understeanding of asp / VB / java is preferable.

The file replacement mod is the easyst to use but you can't combine more mod's in the same file this way and the mod is only for one version of WWf eg 7.01 and not vor 7.02

The "do it yourself" mod probely will work in orther release to, and you can use more than one mod afacting one file.
