| Is it necessary to have the user name for the sql server connection to be in the role of db_owner? I am trying to limit the amount of permissions this user name should have on the database. After creating the database with the script. Can I just switch the role for this user name to db_datareader and db_datawriter without there being any adverse effects with stored proceedures or other database functions required by the forum. |

I would think that would be OK. Reader and Writer should have the necessary permissions to fulfill all the WWF functions. Shouldn't be too hard to test though.. ------------- There have been many, many posts made throughout the world... This was one of them. |

and... the errors will tell you what you need permissions to alter. I'd check if you have EXEC permissions on the stored procs. ------------- There have been many, many posts made throughout the world... This was one of them. |
