I am not sure if it is a problem or if it is supposed to work like that, but I use the ladder system this way, when a member register in my forum, after the adm activate him, he need to post in a presentation topic, this we can know our members better, after that he will be able to surf thru all other topics and areas.

My problem is, the presentation topic is moderated, but after a member posts there his post count goes to one, moving him to another group. In my undertanding, a post should only be counted after its approval, but that is not the way my forum is doing it. Am I right?

If the forum should work like that, is there a way to change it to only count posts after approval?

Thanks

This is the way it is built to run at the present time and can not be changed.

The way around this Slog is very simple
You have created a New User Group, and restrict that new group to say 10 posts and one forum. When they have posted and you get an idea of what they are like, simply transfer them to a Non Ladder Group which opens up your other forums to them

Thanks Bruce and MrTWS. I believe that i will have to do it like MrTWS says, move the user to a no ladder group manually.
