One of my users emailed today to let me know that his Symantec Antivirus detected that my Web site was attacking his PC.  I run a daily scan of this server with a current version of ClamWin Antivirus, and it hasn't detected anything.

The error that he received is below:

Has anyone else had this experience?

If you have a look at Symantec's website it tells you what the error means:-

http://www.symantec.com/business/security_response/attacksignatures/detail.jsp?asid=23118

It looks like you have a malformed bitmap image on your website or it doesn't like the CAPTCHA security image which builds a bitmap on the fly. In either case sounds like a false alert and can be ignored.

I applied a Microsoft patch for this issue and the problem was resolved.

Thanks,
