On your admin area, go to upload settings
Click Server Compatibility Test
You should then see something like this depending on what your server allows:

Upload Component Test
The 'File System Object' needs to be installed on the server in combination with one of the components below in order for Upload Features to work.

File System Object (FSO) - Installed

Persits AspUpload 3.x - Installed
Persits AspUpload - Installed
Dundas Upload - NOT Installed
SoftArtisans FileUp (SA FileUp) - NOT Installed
aspSmartUpload - NOT Installed
AspSimpleUpload - NOT Installed

Email Component Test
One of the following components needs to be installed on the server in combination with an SMTP Server for the Email Features to work.

CDOSYS - Installed
CDONTS - NOT Installed
JMail - Installed
JMail ver.4+ - Installed
AspEmail - NOT Installed
AspMail - NOT Installed

Choose which one you have and you should be okay

ok, I ran that page and it shows this. However, I have 100% installed ASPUpload. Now we are on a 64 bit OS and installed the ASPUpload64 version. Is this not compatible?

godeep, you would need to install the 32bit version of AspUpload and change the application pool for the IIS site running Web Wiz Forums to run in 32bit mode.

Microsoft recommend that on 64 bit OS's that you run the application pools in 32bit mode for better compatibility and improved memory and performance.

Any info on how to do that? I am not very good a server settings.  I did a search, but Im not sure I understand. Is the ASPUpload supposed to show up in the pools area?

here is one thing I looked at. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731755%28WS.10%29.aspx" rel="nofollow - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731755(WS.10).aspx

AspUpload does not show in the application pool.

What you need to do is install the 32bit version of AspUpload.

Then below I have quoted some info from Microsoft on running app pools in 32 bit mode. If you open the command prompt on the server and paste in the code shown in the code box below:-

We recommend that you configure IIS to use a 32-bit worker processes on 64-bit Windows. Not only its compatibility better
than the native 64-bit, performance and memory consumption are also better.

%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd set config -section:applicationPools -applicationPoolDefaults.enable32BitAppOnWin64:true

Running the above code will then place youir application pools into 32bit mode, any new ones that you add will also run in 32bit mode.

Ok, I will give it a shot. This wont mess any asp.net sites up running on the server will it?

It would just mean they use the 32bit and not 64bit Framework. They should not be an issue, but you would see the worker process for the ASP.NET sites use allot less memory.

I got it fixed. I looked into the 32 bit framework, but my server was setup to use 32bit from the beginning, so that wasnt the problem.

The fix was that I had to give full permission to the aspupload.dll
