Currently using IE8 on most, maybe IE7 on others, but this is happening to everyone. After clicking "post" when either posting a new topic or responding on an existing, the page times out in IE. The message does get posted, but everyone gets kicked to a blank webpage eventually after the hangup.

Try re-uploading all the forum files - perhaps one was missed and is causing this

Often if it becomes slow when posting and the post goes through anyway then it indicates an issue with the mail server being used to sendout email notifications.

Try to use a local mail server or one on the same network to cut down on connection delays coursed by lag times when sending the email notifications.
