I've been struggling to find a solution that will allow me to keep my iphone, desktop and laptop synchronized with email, contacts and a calendar. I've found that SmarterTools will sync perfectly with Outlook and it will work with an iPHone as well but it requires Activesync on the server.

When I follow the instructions they have for syncing an iPHone ( http://www.smartertools.com/Portal/KB/a564/how-to-configure-exchange-activesync-on-the-iphone.aspx?KBSearchID=239612%29%20it%20says" rel="nofollow - http://www.smartertools.com/Portal/KB/a564/how-to-configure-exchange-activesync-on-the-iphone.aspx?KBSearchID=239612) it says the server can't be found. Am I entering a setting wrong or is that feature not enabled on our server?

The Microsoft Active Sync is sold as an optional add-on extra to SmarterMail that is purchased for a minimum of 25 mailboxes.

At the moment we do not currently offer this service, but if we see enough demand for it we you will be able to purchase it as an additional extra.

However, SmarterMail Enterprise already comes with an number of tools that allow you to sync with devices such as the IPhone, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.

Thanks for the (as usual) prompt answer!

I've found the smatermail plugin works fantastic for Outlook to server syncs, but I've never found anything that works for the iPhone (other than funambol, which only does contacts). I can set up email as imap accounts on the iPhone, but do you know how to sync contacts, tasks and a calendar between the server and an iPhone?

We are now offering the Exchange ActiveSync Add-on for SamterMail Mailboxes costing £2.95 per month for each mailbox that you require ActiveSync for.

If you wish to add the Exchange ActiveSync Add-on to one of your SmaterMail Mailboxes login to your Client Area account and select 'Add Optional Features and Resources' from your Hosting Account page
