I tryed to find someone with the same issue here but no success.

It happens with almost all of my users, including me.

When I take too long to post a reply, I get the insufficinte permission message, and after come back to the post page I have our message erased.

Considering that, if I take too long to write a message, usually it is because it is big, so I it very annoying to notice that you lost every word you wrote...

some users asked me if the is related to the size of the message, but I tested and it is possible to post it back again if I save it before. And I also tested with a small text, after some wait an it did the same thing, so for me it related to the waiting time until you post.

Is there a way to solve this issue?

Thanks

Have just completed a new version yesterday which we are testing on a couple of large forums hosted on our systems here that should resolve this issue.

The new system uses new ping feature that pings the server every 60 seconds in the back ground on Post and Private Message Form pages to keep your forum session alive while writing the post.

If for whatever reason the session does get dropped, such as a connection issue, a server problem, etc. the ping to the server will detect this and when you go to submit the post a JavaScript alert will pop up informing you the session has been dropped and you need to refresh the page and that the data may be lost.

This new system of pinging the server should then hopefully mean that the session will be retained, but if it is dropped you should be informed giving you a chance to copy and post and then paste it back in again once you refresh the page.

This new version which will be 9.67 will be released in the next couple of days as at present all signs on the forums this is being tested on are very positive as not had anyone report any issues with the new system.
