Hello,

I've not been here in a while, decided to see what was new with WWF and see that you've added a Friendly URL rewriter. This is wonderful and something I'd like to try out. However my hosting company is stuck on IIS6.0 and doesn't have the Helicon rewriter. I've had a quick google about and found the Ionnic's Rewriter which has the advantage over Helicon that it's free. Do you plan to support it anytime soon? I'm sure there must be others other there as well, Ionics was just the first I found.

Also I see (though it's of no use to me atm) that Microsoft have releases v2.0 of their URL Rewriter so I'd imagine people using that should upgrade and would find it works better than the old version which I've read here isn't too reliable with a large amount of users.

Thanks. Kit.

The ISAPI_Rewrite version should work with Ionics ISAPI Rewrite with very little modification except changing the file name as they are both based on the Apache Rewrite MOD.

The IIS 7 Rewrite Module version works with versions 1 and 2 of the IIS 7 Rewrite Module as version 2 is backwardly compatible with version 1 just adds extra features.

Thank you Bruce. I'll try to get my host to install the Ionics one.

I didn't mean the module wouldn't work with version 2. I just thought maybe version 2 would be more reliable and that maybe you could recommend people use it under heavier load if so. Would require some research I'd imagine.

Hard to believe I've been signed up here since 2002; great to see you still coming out with updates when everyone else has stopped supporting Classic ASP.

I'm in the same boat. Did you get Ionic's Isapi Rewrite Filter to work with web wiz forums?
Thanks.
