I have just bought hosting and trying to connect my website to my sql server database.

I have set up the DSN as i believe i should and have a database user etc and when i load my page I get the following error:

"The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application"

I am not sure on how to fix it and wondered whether this was a common problem when first setting up a database on webwiz and if so, how to fix it?

Thanks

You should fill out a support ticket from your Client Area account regarding this issue so our support staff can investigate the problem for you and see whats wrong.

However, instead of a DSN connection you should look at using a DSN-less connection to your database. This is where you specify the connection string within your script or application. This is a much faster way of connecting to a database as it requires less registry hits and less work for the server to do in opening the database connection.

If you look in your welcome email there are examples of DSN-less connection strings under the database section.
