Subject: Test Email not sending

I am unable to receive test email after setup.  I have tried various accounts with no success.

We have checked to make sure we were able to send using telnet smtp test which was successful. 

However we are still not able to receive, Newspad says email was sent successfully but we do not receive.


Needing a solution, thanks.

If NewsPad is reporting the email as being sent successfully to the SMTP server then it has done it's job and it's up to the mail server to relay the email from there.

If the mail server is not relaying the email then you need to check the settings. Make sure it is enabled to relay on emails to non local mailboxes, and if it is does it need authentication?

If it does require authentication to relay emails then you would also need to include the username and password in your email settings within NewsPad.

Your SMTP server logs should give you more details as to why the mail server did not relayu the email.
