You would need to edit your includes/footer.asp file to make this happen. I had done something similar myself on one of our forums, then removed it, but I know it works

Its basically the opposite of my http://www.s2h.co.uk/wwf/tips/look/links-on-left.asp" rel="nofollow - Links on Left-Hand Side tutorial.

So:

Header.asp
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="100%">
<tr>
    <td>

Footer.asp
   </td>
    <td width="150">Advert / Whatever</td>
</tr>
</table>

You may need to play around with this to adapt it to your needs (eg width sizes etc)

I wonder how do I get the side banner to appear only on the first page of the forum?

You would need to add the above to the "default.asp" file.

Im not sure about the Header, will look at the source code when I get some time.

As for the footer look for a line similar to:
<!---#include file="includes/footer.asp"-->

And add the footer section above to just above this line.

I have tried to do this and am not having any luck. Basically I have made a side banner and am trying to insert it but what I end up with is text where the banner should be. this is my code:
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
    <td>a href="../forum/includes/intermix_left_forum.html"</td>
    <td>
Could you please tell me what I am doing wrong? Am I putting the code in the wrong place. I have put it on the header page underneath the following:
<script language="javascript" src="includes/default_javascript.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
</head><br>

I am working on this today and would be grateful for any help. thanks in anticipation queensah

With the latest version of WWF, you can add the code in the Admin area of the website. Go to the Skins page in the Admin area.

This will allow you to update the forum easier as you will not have to re-apply the changes.

Hi Scotty, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately we do not have the latest version of the forums. At the moment I have no-one who can update to the latest version and am a bit scared to do it myself. We are a not-for-profit organisation that currently has no funding and relies on the goodwill of others. At the moment it seems I am the only one around to attempt these things. How easy or difficult do you think it would be to update to the latest version? queensah

Hi,
What is your website / forum address?

If you have access to your hosting account and are able to take a back up of your database and forum files then it's fairly easy to upgrade.

Do you know what version you are currently on?

I don't mind helping out charities where I can so I don't mind looking to upgrade you if you need help.
