My hosting provider offers AspUpload and AspSmartupload installed on their servers.

But how do I implement these components into the forum ?

As it is now, I get this error mesg when trying to upload:

----------------------------------------------

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01c2'

Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment: 'fileUpload'

/myforum/RTE_popup_adv_image.asp, line 170

-------------------------------------------

If your web host already has these components installed on their servers you do not need to install AspUpload yourself.

As to the error, can only assume that is is caused by a corrupted or modified file. Try re-uploading the original files again, or upgrade to the latest release.

Do I have to change any settings in the forum software ?
Like, upload-path etc ?

My forum is running from a subfolder.
Will this cause any problem if the upload-path is set to use a folder in the root ?

You should leave the folder as the default 'uploads' folder in your forum folder. Version 9 does not allow you to change the path due to issues when you do.

However, the error you have is a coding error, which suggest either a corrupted file or a modified file that is causing the issue.

Upgrading to the latest release should help fix the issue as version 9 has a new upload system. Also as version 8 is now 3 years since the last version was release it is no-longer supported.
