My old WWF is version 9.54 in MS SQL 2000, Now I want to change my host to new another host with upgrading to Version 9.69 with MS SQL 2005.
I do not have any back up from old version on my PC so I can not restore my data from old DB to new DB. I used Import/Export tools in "MS SQL Management Studio 2005" as following:
  • I created new DB structure and tables in MS SQL 2005 version.
  • I exported all data from old DB to New DB successfully.
  • I setup WWF Version 9.69 wizard and chose Upgrade options to MS SQL 2005/2008.
  • All previous steps is ok and without error, but after browsing the Forum Homepage, the list of forums and forum topics did not appear to me correctly. Some topics has been assigned to another forum, some forum has been lost and ...
Do you have any suggestion for resolving the problem?

The Import/Export Tools in MS SQL Management Studio are totally useless as they drop allot of the database schema such as default values, primary keys, ralationships, etc.

What you would need to do is get a back of your SQL Server database (.bak file), which can then be used to restore the database on your new host.

Most good web hosts will give you tools to create backups of your SQL Server databases and restore them, but if they do not then you will need to contact the hosting companies to get them to help with this.

I resolve my problem, I guessed it can be useful for others.
There is a tools in Microsoft website for creating a backup from MS SQL Data and Structure. this tools is "Database Publishing Wizard" that creates a script from all database data and structure.
