Guys,

I am having trouble resetting member passwords. Message says:

"The message could not be sent to SMTP server. The transport error was 0X80040217. The server response was not available"

I don't know how to set up the the email settings work and I think thi sis the source of the problem...can anyone help?

The error means that your email settings in the admin area are incorrect and so your forum is not able to send emails.

Contact your web host and ask them what the correct settings are for sending emails from your web site. It maybe that you need to include a username and password for the mail server, or the SMTP server host name is incorrect.
