Okay, so do i have this correct?  Each member on my forum can have 2 GB of file space they can upload? Does that mean conceivably if I had over 1000 members than I will have 2000 GB or 2 TB on my webwiz forum?

Lastly, to cut down on member uploads that are sitting in the forum, can someone hyperlink to data files located elsewhere...I am imagining something in terms of photo bucket but for documents, not pictures so that we can conserve data upload capacity for each member?

Thanks!

No. Your forum would be governed by the available space on your hosting package. As soon as that limit was reached, irrespective of your generous member allowance, then the site hosting allowance would be full, and no one could upload any more stuff

Encouraging users to upload and link from Photobucket is your best option. You would be well advised to create member groups and say give me them allowances on uploads, and then others giving them instructions on how to add hyperlinks. Otherwise your forum is sure to be over-run with uploads anyway

HI TWS,

I thought the hosting package is by Webwiz, no?

If not, would the email setting "Outgoing SMTP Mail Server" give me a clue to who my hosting web company is?

Much thanks!

Sorry afos - if you are saying that your hosting is with web wiz, you would still have hosting limits I assume?

http://www.webwiz.net/forum-hosting/web_wiz_forums_hosting.asp" rel="nofollow - Forum Hosting - http://www.webwiz.net/forum-hosting/web_wiz_forums_hosting.asp this page shows you what those limits are. Look at the column saying: Storage Space

That will tell you the answer
