I tried to seach forums and documentations, but cannot find an answer:
I would like to upgrade my forum from 9.61 to 9.69. I am not changing server nor database engine (which is SQL Server 2008).
How do I simply upgrade without messing up?
Since I do not change the database engine, should I run the upgrade wizzard at all, or should I just overwrite everything in the "forum" folder on the server to the new files from "forum" folder in the 9.69 package?
I do not have any tailored modifications done - all files in 9.61 "forum" folder is deafult Web Wiz. But maybe some of the files has been altered by the forum software when the 9.61 version was installed and configurated? If I just overwrite everting in the "forum" folder with 9.69 files, I might overwrite any of these 9.61 altered files?!

I have also fallen behind in the forum updates can you tell me if the databases has changed at all do I just over right the files |

Hi numanme Database has not been changed since that version. The procedure is as follows: Download the latest software - http://www.webwiz.net/webwizforums/webwizforums_downloads.asp" rel="nofollow - Link Make a copy of your current software (just in case - better safe than sorry) Next, upload all the files EXCEPT the uploads folder (as if you upload that too, you will overwrite any files in it). Files in the upload folder will be any images that you or other forum members have already uploaded!!
