We are currently having a big issue with Spam in our forum. We need to implement CAPTCHA to be on the post pages (All the posters have to enter the captcha code before being able to post their message or reply)

There are two easy ways of solving spam problems

1. Turn off or disable guest posting (that will stop guests who are not registered from posting garbage.
2. Your new starting group should be on moderated topics - similar to how it is here. Your post today above was on moderation, so until a moderator came along, the post would only have been visible to mods and admin. If the post is spam, then you simply delete the moderated post, and then ban the person concerned.

Spam problem solved
