This is quite hard to impement, but I was wondering if you consider something like this for future versions.

I have a few moderators and I really wish I could enable some auditing.

It would be great if I could see the posts / topics they erased or moved, and even reverse their actions if possible (at least for moving posts). If they disabled a user etc.

It would be great if we could see which moderators are most active.

The feature of logging moderator actions, such as delete, approving, edting posts, etc. is already available.

To enable this feature edit in notepad the file includes/setup_options_inc.asp and enable the logging options.

I am sorry I missed that.

Does it affect performance on MSSQL databases?

I read the file and I see that it does. However I have 2 questions:

1. What kind of a performance hit are we talking about? (for a forum with 200 posts/day)
2. How do I read the log files? Do you have a parsing tool or something? I hoped auditing would be integrated into the admin screens and it would be available for moderators and regular members separately (in which case the performance hit would be negligible).

The logging works by writing to a text log file. The more logging options you enable the more it needs to write to these files as each log entry requires opening the file and adding a new line to it.

You can then download the log file and open it in notepad if you need to look at any issues.

I would recommend only enabling it for logging moderator actions, other wise if you enable it for everything then performance will suffer as every action will need writing to the log files.
